I have spent nearly my entire career working in the information technology organizations in the banking, insurance and construction sectors.

I learned about putting quality first from my father who learned it from his dad. They were in construction where getting it right the first time meant the work was done on time, on budget and at the end of the day you had made a contribution to the world in your own way. Everyone who worked for my dad always had a smile on their face when they showed up for work and throughout the day. My dad was never tough on people but he was on problems. That left a huge impression on me.
